Javbot

About

Javbot allows you to write scripts for controlling your mouse and keyboard, taking screenshots and e-mailing them or running system commands. You can also optionally set Javbot to check an e-mail account for scripts allowing you to send scripts to a remote computer for execution.

My original intention for this software was to allow me to e-mail screenshots of my home PC for monitoring downloads and other processes but since then it has developed into a product which can serve other uses such as for creating backups or performing routine tasks on your desktop at set time intervals.

One user used Javbot for copying and pasting Sudoku puzzles from and to a website. Another user to slowly scan thorugh parts of Google Earth in order to create a cache of satellite images on his system for offline use.

Note: This software is at a very early release and may not work properly. If there are any features you would like implemented please let me know.

Unpacking and Running

To run javbot you need Java 1.5 (or later) installed on your system.

Unpack zip file.
Go to the javbot directory
From the command prompt type: java -jar javbot.jar.

If Java is setup properly on you desktop enviroment (Windows, KDE, GNOME, Mac OS etc...) you should also be able to also run javbot by clicking on the jar file.
